My Background
I was born in London and educated at a selective Grammar School. For higher education I ventured up north to the vibrant city of Manchester where I had the privilege to study Medicine and Oncology over a period of 6 years. I contributed to a leading research team achieving a distinction in a Master's degree. I concluded my medical studies by travelling to developing countries where I undertook a project to improve surgical outcomes in the third world, I was awarded the Royal College of Surgeons England Elective Prize in Surgery and I published in their annual research report.

I have spent a further five years in postgraduate training as a medical and surgical junior doctor in London and Essex. Working tough shifts and treating seriously unwell patients has taught me resilience, compassion and care under high pressure.Â
