Anaesthesia cream (EMLA) may be applied if desired to the skin for 15 - 20 mins prior to your treatment. A vibration anaesthesia device may be applied near the area of treatment to further reduce the sensation of pain.

In addition, a nerve block may be administered using local anaesthetic (Lidocaine 2%) to the nerves supplying the face and lips. This provides complete anaesthesia for 2-5 hours, enough to last you through your treatment and for even some extra time afterwards. It can provide further pain relief for up to 8 hours allowing you to have a comfortable day post treatment. Please note a £50 charge is applied for this service.
